Our History

My Community Credit Union was chartered in 1952 as Midland Atlantic Federal Credit Union. In the beginning, it served the employees and families of Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) from its downtown location. Its charter was expanded in 2000, opening its membership to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Midland County. In the fall of 2000, MGE Federal Credit Union merged with MAFCU which became Midland Community. Then on June 1, 2008, Permian Basin Credit Union in Odessa also joined the MCCU family, bringing additional members and providing a branch location in Odessa. My Community now has over 26,000 members. Today, MCCU serves anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Ector, Midland and Collin Counties.
